Report of World Suicide Prevention Day Observance 2023-24
“Blues to Bloom”
Dept. of Zoology in association with Health Education Club, KSMDB College, Sasthamcotta, conducted a seminar in connection with the World Suicide Prevention Day -“Blues to Bloom”, on 12th September 2023 @ 11.00 am in Digital Seminar Hall. The programme started with prayer followed by welcome speech by Dr. Lekshmi S (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Zoology). The session was Chaired by Dr. Manju. M, HOD of Zoology and Inaugurated by Dr. K.C Prakash (Principal KSMDBC Sasthamcotta). The session was handled by the resource person, Ms. Gargi J.R (Clinical Psychologist, Jeevani Centre, KSMDB college). She forwarded a riveting speech for students to improve their mental health and help their near ones to overcome suicidal tendancy. The resource person was honored with a Memento. The felicitations were delivered by Dr. Nisha S Panicker and Dr. Binusree S. Jayan (Members of Health Club, KSMDB College, Sasthamcotta). The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Ajmiya Sajeer (III DC Zoology).
