The Department of Chemistry is a recognized research center of the University of Kerala. Eleven members of various teaching faculty are recognized research guides of the University of Kerala to supervise scholars for research leading to Ph.D. Some of them have already produced Ph.D.’s under their guidance. Besides a fair share of the teaching staff are research degree holders and some are doing research towards Ph.D
The Department of Commerce is an approved Research center under the University of Kerala. Presently three faculty members of the Department are approved research guides providing guidance to Nine Scholars. A research library is functioning in the department with more than 500 books, 15 journals and 2 business dailies 2 minor research projects funded by UGC have been undertaken by 2 faculty members, Dr. S. Sunanda and Dr. S. Joy
