Report of Zoology Exhibition- ZOION LOGIA- 2023 Dept of Zoology organized an Exhibition cum sale-ZOION LOGIA on 14th December 2023. Zoology Association Secretary, Lekshmi Nandana (II DC Zoology) welcomed the gathering. The function was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. K. C Prakash at 11:15 am in the presence of Sri. R Arun Kumar (Former Member of Syndicate, University of Kerala), Dr Ajesh S.R (Member of Senate, University of Kerala), Dr. Indose Aravind (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemistry), Dr. Maya P.K (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Economics), Dr. Dhanya L(Assistant Professor, Dept. of Botany). Dr. Mini Chandran (former Principal and HOD, KSMDBC) offered felicitation. Main events include exhibition of Museum specimens and models, neurons, reproductive organs and zoo models, working models of heart, kidney and DNA etc. Also arranged an exhibition cum sale of handcrafted Jewelry items, paintings/drawings, embroidery works, bottle art and homemade accessories made by students of the department, to encourage their entrepreneurship. Ms. Rejani (Guest Lecturer, Dept. of Malayalam, KSMDBC) also contributed interesting craft items and portraits of famous people. A live show, games and various competitions like spot quiz, puzzles, Do you know? related to life science were also included. A food fest was also associated with the programme. Teachers from other departments, non- teaching staff and union members also participated in the event. More than 750 students of various departments visited and purchased various items. Food fest was the most interesting area for the students as most of the food items were homemade and huge appreciation came from visitors.The programme ended at 4 pm.
