Dr. Sandeep S, Assistant Professor of chemistry procured his Ph.D in chemistry from the Department of chemistry, University of Kerala, and M.Sc from the same department. He has also obtained bachelor's degree in education from the University of Kerala. He got Gold Medal and Best Ph.D paper award in the year of 2013 from the Society of Polymer Science India for his prestigious research work regarding the development of an anticancer drug delivery system. He was a scientific officer at the National Test House, Government of India; he got more than four years of scientific experience in testing and evaluation of chemical samples of building materials, ores, minerals, and metals samples of various ferrous, gold, titanium, non-ferrous alloys, etc. He successfully participated NABL accreditation programs and training programs in water analysis at the time when he was in National Test House. He has expertly handled many sophisticated scientific instruments like inductively coupled plasma-MS, GC-MS, IEC, OES, FTIR, UV-VIS Spectrometer, AAS, U-HPLC, and Photoluminescence Spectrometer. He was a recipient of the fellowship of ‘Fostering Linkages in Academic Innovation and Research (FLAIR) of Kerala State Higher Education. He is an approved research guide at the University of Kerala. He has published a number of research papers in internationally well-reputed and high-impact factor journals of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Elsevier, Wiley Publishing etc. He has got more than four hundred citation in scopus & Google Scholar with an h-index of nine for his research papers. He has published six book chapters in ISBN-numbered books. He has presented many research papers in international as well as national conferences. He has started research collaboration with some foreign faculties from USA, Germany, and Spain. He has been mentoring two doctoral research fellows. He has successfully supervised a number of MSc. Students for their project with refer to computational aided drug designing, DFT calculation, carbon dot nanocomposites, developing anticorrosive biomaterial and electrocatalytic material. He has more than ten years of research experience in the field of developing and synthesizing-anticancer drug delivery systems, clay-based adsorbents for heavy metal recovery, molecularly imprinted polymers for alkaloid and protein separation, carbon dot-based food packaging materials, etc. He currently focusing on the research area of computational chemistry (Computational aided drug designing based on natural lead molecules and DFT calculation of organic molecules for photosensitization application), carbon dot nanocomposite, molecularly imprinted polymer, electrocatalytic material for OER, HER, and toxic gases to useful products. He underwent an induction program regarding active teaching-learning methodology in the Teaching Learning Center of IIT, Madras. Many national and international conferences have been conducted under his leadership with renowned people from many parts of the world. He got training in Multimedia enriched e-content development under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. He has qualified for basic and advanced levels of massive open course development in higher education. He has a qualified academic writer. He acted as coordinator of Teaching Learning and evaluation criteria of NAAC. He acted as a coordinator of many club activities and committee including the research committee, science club, INFLIBNET, disciplinary committee etc. He was a special invitee to the syllabus revision committee of chemistry, University of Kerala.
