About the Programme
The Covid-19 induced pandemic has changed the entire world order and has deeply affected the educational system disrupting the traditional class room teaching. It has forced to switch over to online teaching and learning. With this the teaching fraternity has begun to face myriad challenges in the use of e-learning resources with professionalism. In this backdrop, our College is organising a one week Online Faculty Development Programme under the rubric Towards a Digital Era of Teaching and Learning in collaboration with Human Resource Development Centre of the University of Kerala. This programme aims to familiarise teachers from different colleges and universities across the country with the different components of information technology for effective teaching and learning. The course is offered through moodle platform and the link will be shared via telegram. A maximum of 500 participants are permitted to attend the programme on first come first serve basis.
The topics cover but not limited to
- Understanding online education and various LMS platforms
- Acquiring e-learning skills which can help in delivering online classroom sessions effectively
- Moodie platform in detail
- Digital tools which help in developing e-content
Target Audience
- Faculty members and research scholars from AICTE/UGC approved institutions may participate In the programme
Expected Outcomes
After successful completion of the programme, the participants will be able to:
- Create interactive e-content for their discipline
- Conduct online classroom sessions with time-bound assessment mechanism
- Utilize time-saving extensions for better organisation of e-content
