Financial literacy club was constituted in the Department of Commerce during the academic year 2015-16. The main objectives of the club are:-
- To create awareness among the students about financial skills required in their personal life
- To conduct awareness programmes regarding investment options
- To conduct surveys among the local people regarding their financial literacy and provide awareness classes
The activities of the club include:
- Financial Awareness programmes for students and parents
- Organise seminars related to GST, Personal Financial Management etc.
- Post budget discussion
- Conducting studies among the local people for knowing their savings and investment pattern
- Conduct awareness classes for the local people

- Seminar on GST , the RP for the same was Dr. Baiju Ramachandran, Director, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Conducted Digital banking awareness programme in association with District Co-operative Bank, Kollam
