The Human Rights Club of Kumbalathu Sankupillai Memorial Devaswom Board College, Sasthamcotta observed the Human Rights Day on 10th December 2021. Dr. Pradeep Kumar K S, Co-ordinator of the Human Rights Club welcomed the gathering. .The programme was inaugurated by Dr. B Beena, Principal, KSMDB College. The Principal in her inaugural address stressed the importance of the club in the current social environment.
Mr. Reni Antony, Member – Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, delivered the key note address. Mr. Reni Antony is an authority in the area of Human Rights, particularly Child Rights and an excellent orator also. The resource person in his key note address pointed out the dimensions involved in human rights – in international, national and regional perspective. The resource person with his excellent presentation skills made the audience explore the dimensions involved in child rights pointing out the social, demographic and educational system prevailing in the current scenario. The presentation was a mix of theory backed by real life examples.
Mr. Shinoj Sasidharan, member of Human Rights Club of KSMDB College, in the felicitation pointed out the international aspects involved human rights and Mr. Sanu S J member of Human Rights Club of KSMDB College, Sasthamcotta delivered vote of thanks. The event is attended by 65 student members of Human Rights Club of the college and gave a positive feedback about the programme.
