International Women’s Day Celebration-2021

 Date: 8th March 2021

Department of Political Science and Institution’s Innovative Council (IIC), in association with The Institute of Parliamentary Affairs, Thiruvananthapuram organized a one-day programme , “WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP: ACHIEVING AN EQUAL FUTURE IN A COVID-19 WORLD”, as part of the celebrations of International Women’s Day on 8^th March 2021 in online mode using Google meet platform. The first session was handled by Prof. Mini Sukumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Women’s Studies, University of Calicut and the topic of discussion was “Violence Against Women: Human Rights Perspective”.  In the second session, Dr. Anu Unni, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Kerala delivered a talk on the topic “Women and Politics in Kerala”.  Dr.Anish K., IIC President and Head of the Department, Political Science chaired the session. Many students actively participated in the programme.  Mr.Shinoj S., Member IIC, delivered vote of thanks. Dr. Arun Shanoj D.S., Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science coordinated the programme.
